Indonesia has maintained strong economic growth over the past decade. However, this economic success came at a high environmental cost.

Deforestation, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are just some of the factors that have placed immense pressure on Indonesia’s megadiverse ecosystems. And like the rest of the world, Indonesia will face increasingly harsh consequences of climate change in the coming decades if traditional economic models are not reformed.

As the government look to integrate green-growth objectives into broader economic policymaking and development planning, the collective support of organisations and individuals is needed to spark a broader movement.
